ABOUT ME AND CV
Since a young age, I have been developing a burning fascination in photography. I credit my initial engrossment in the subject to my Godfather, who was once an art teacher at Leek Westwood college. He taught there whilst setting up his own photography business.
Since I was introduced to photography, I have constantly been learning all I can and developing my knowledge and skills. I got my first DSLR in 2016. Moving into further education, Newcastle college was my first choice. I applied for a BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Art and Design, and despite the lockdown conditions, I got a DDM. I am currently studying BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Photography and digital imaging and In my first year I got a D*
Other achievements include photo of the month at Willfield Camera Club in 2019. SAAS awarded me the child of courage of the year 2017.
Over the years, I accumulated other achievements, including horse riding, boxing, and trampolining, for which I have received certificates and qualifications via ASDAN course for Media and interviewing Sir Lee Pearson CBE (14-time Paralympian) and ASDAN course for forensics.
I see myself as a skilled photographer and graphic designer. I am an independent, quiet, mature, and patient individual. I hyper-focus on my work and find interesting objects for photography wherever I go.. I'm dedicated to doing the best I can with my work. Therefore, I strive to achieve very high standards.
I have a condition called Oculo-auriculo-vertebral spectrum, better known as Goldenhar Syndrome. The Goldenhar UK charity has become part of my life where I made friends with others like myself, and In 2019 I was asked to become the media designer and photographer for the charity. My role includes: attending committee meetings.helping to shape the future of the charity.taking photographic evidence of events and design leaflets.turning these into presentations for medical and public viewing.I became the youngest committee member and had to work closely with the other committee members.
I am able to regulate multiple social media platforms, I enjoy creating designs and trying new things with photography and graphics including Abstract, Black and white, Documentary, Macro, Street, Still life, Urban and have extensive knowledge of the above subjects and the photographers that come under each category. I can also effectively incorporate graphics, create advertisements and effectively use typography in my work.
I have recently started volunteering for Dougie Mac at two locations. Dougie Mac EBAY Longton Stoke on Trent as a product photographer and organiser and Dougie Mac Newcastle Under Lyme as a organiser
My personal development plan is to establish my own business with the aim to aid aspiring photographers lacking the finances to set up their own studios I aspire to have multiple studios and shops around the country, and internationally, that sell second-hand like new camera equipment, and photography prop store, editing suites, along with contact opportunities with other professionals from different art and design backgrounds. And allowing students to attain work experience within the company, this is my main focus for the next ten years.
